About Stephen Popkin M.D.
Dr. Popkin has been practicing psychiatry in Denver for over 40 years. He is a graduate of Northwestern University School of Medicine and the University of Colorado Psychiatric residency. He has worked in a variety of settings including multiple inpatient units, in addition to his ongoing outpatient practice. Dr. Popkin served for many years as a member of the select inpatient teams both at Mt. Airy Hospital and at Bethesda Hospital. Dr. Popkin is Board Certified in Psychiatry and has special expertise in treatment resistant mood disorders (Depression and Bipolar Illness). He also has extensive experience in treating anxiety disorders such as panic disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder. He also treats adolescents and adults with Attention Deficit Disorder.
Dr. Popkin's office is located in the Mountain Towers, north of I-25 just 1 block east of Colorado Blvd. on E. Mississippi Ave. He sees patients by appointment only.
Appointment hours are from:
7am- 5:30pm Monday- Wednesday
7am-12 noon on Thursday.
He is closed on major holidays.
